Golden Days (Heda 戸田)

We set the scene for our grande finale at Mihama Peninsula in Heda, a small harbour town located on the western shore of the Izu Peninsula in Japan. Time stands still as we let out a deep sigh together with your loved ones and appreciate the simple beauty of the moment set in scene: the superelevated Mt. Fuji on the horizon, millions of sand grains under your feet, and lush pine trees acting like a gigantic natural sun shade. Today was a Golden Day.

‘The Golden Days’ is an audiovisual capsule illuminating human mindfulness. The unscripted glances loosely connect a spectrum of realities we might live to experience. From the individual to the collective point of view, questions arise:

  • What is the purpose of caring?
  • How does the conversation unfold?
  • Why do we immerse or detach?

This drop contains six thoughtfully crafted reels made of locally sourced, raw Japanese footage.
