At the western shore of the Izu Peninsula in Japan lies a small harbour town called Heda. Blue hour is wrapping the bay with a cool light. A group of youngsters sit round a camping table in front of Tagore Harbor Hostel enjoying grill food and drinks. I take advantage of the calmness and sit down with pen and paper to reflect.

‘The Golden Days’ is an audiovisual capsule illuminating human mindfulness. The unscripted glances loosely connect a spectrum of realities we might live to experience. From the individual to the collective point of view, questions arise:
- What is the purpose of caring?
- How does the conversation unfold?
- Why do we immerse or detach?
This drop contains six thoughtfully crafted reels made of locally sourced, raw Japanese footage.
